Comme une fleur - Fréhel

Whenever summer comes I really look forward to coming and be inspired by the Japanese style Mori Girl, I love the beautiful fabrics with delicate flower prints, canotiers, and the appearance of 'going to the forest to pick wild berries." The problem is that in Spain (and at least these days back in Barcelona) is too hot ... so I always end up doing strange combinations of clothing like this!

The shirt is customized with a picture of the Japanese artist Imai Kira. I love her designs and some time ago I printed one of her beautiful images. The skirt is from Zara, already has two or three years, but I like it as much as the first day. A curiosity: the socks were originally white, but I dyed them with tea ... yes, tea! And they ended on that colour, I love them! I didn't have a pair of socks on that tone for this kind of looks and I'm thrilled.

By the way, I bought some nice things for my house! A lovely set of glasses, with a pattern of lace and polka dots, also a game of rabbits popsicles, a pink mug, a cupcake-shaped box for the sweetener, a butterfly and orange tea. Carol showed me the new Tiger shop around Barcelona and we're like crazy!

All Summer Long - Kid Rock (Summer tips for a healthy skin!)

So, finally summer's here and I wanted to post about it, but in the past few days it's been so hot around Barcelona that I thought about showing you some of my beauty tips for my skin!

1. Fruit fusion body cream from RNB Deliplus 2. Carrot body butter from Yes To Carrots! 3. Anti redness treatment from Guinot Paris 4. Cell Vitale Hydratant cream from Selvert Thermal Switzerland 5. Cell Vitale for eyes from Selvert Thermal Switzerland 6. All-over make-up remover from Oriflame.

The summer sun always causes dry skin, so it is important to keep skin hydrated, not only our faces like but also our body. Don't forget to hydrate with emphasis elbows and knees, as they are two of the drier parts of our body and need special pampering during this season. I use a red fruit body cream that smells great, and alternate with the body butter of Yes To! (carrots, in this case), because carrots are good for the skin (but not only in cream, also remember eating carrots!)

There aren't two similar skins, which is why I'll talk about products that I use for my skin type: mixed and prone to redness.

As a teenager, I used to have quite an acne problem, and that is why my skin sometimes irritates, especially with the heat. To avoid this, every night I use a Guinot anti-redness cream, ideal for delicate capillaries that need
oxygen. I also use a hydrating cream and around the eyes moisturizer cream, all by Thermal Selvert Switzerland

It is important to wait for your skin to soak the cream completely before applying another if you can wait a minimum interval of 30 minutes, all the better!

Of course, it is important that before applying any creams, you must clean your skin of makeup traces and environmental dirt accumulated during the day! If you live in a city with high pollution levels, it is good to know that the pores of the skin more easily get dirty, and so it is good to wear foundation during the day, to prevent pollution from entering our skin, but it is equally important (or more) clean your face at night.

Right now I'm testing some Oriflame products, and I'm enjoying this cleaner a lot. I also use a Boots' cleaner cucumber cream, which I highly recommend!

1. High definition foundation from Make Up Forever 2. Eyeshadow helper Candy Eyed from Lime Crime Make Up 3. Super Matte Loose Powder from Make Up Forever 4. Ultra protection sunscreen from Heliocare 5. Makeup Brush from Sephora.

During the day, I keep my ritual of hydration but also add another important factor: protection.

After applying my moisturizer and wait for it to soak, I add a sunscreen quite high (I buy this one from Heliocare in pharmacies) to avoid catching a lot of sun on the skin of my face. I have enough respect for the sun and also don't like to get dark, so I use a factor high enough to avoid it.

Then I apply my foundation, I use Make Up Forever 'cause it has a cover that I pretty like and it's very well priced. I also use a makeup brush to apply it, but beware! ALWAYS remember that makeup brushes must be cleaned and dried, especially in summer, because our skin is more delicate, sweat and hygiene is crucial if we want to avoid pimples or blemishes!

Heat, causing perspiration, can ruin any attempt at a good makeup, which is why I use Candy Eyed by Lime Crime: no matter what happens that day, the makeup of your eyes will stay perfect! I think it was one of the greatest discoveries in terms of cosmetic products: Lime Crime Make Up!

Finally, to avoid unwanted glare also, I use a matte powder by Make Up Forever ... but always remember that at the end of the day is very important to remove make-up from ours!

I hope this has been a helpful post!

Write this Down - Maxïmo Park

Last week Pili came from Zaragoza just for one day, but I met her with Carol, Alba and Veronica just for a fun afternoon.
Despite the stifling hot, it was that day, we took her to Pudding, and she loved it! As we're preparing a wonderful Lolita Tea Party for the next 7 of July, we thought that maybe in autumn we can do another one here. By the way, I took pictures at one of the rooms that I hadn't shown yo...

This part is so totally like a Parisian cafe, so romantic and perfect for warm days!

You can see here the circus roof over me, isn't it magic?

Oh, I also had been a little bit creative during the past week (and I still feel that it's so good!). I found some cute fake flowers and blackberries, and did some handcrafts ith them, here you can spot a little pin for the hair!

And it rained all night - Thom Yorke

Hi there!

Last week I receive the reward from Iris Loves Fashion contest, this charming Titis Clothing's dress with a psychedelic rain print. This model is called Alondra and I must say that I think I made one of the best choices I could do!

So on Sunday I went to Gracia and took some pictures around here with my new favourite summer dress (for sure!). The waist is a little bit large but I wasn't sure about the size because of my bust... in the end it's a little big but it doesn't matter!

I think one of the best things about this dress is the big pockets it has, perfect for your sunglasses in summer!

I was wearing my little vintage handbag from Lullaby and my Sonia by Sonia Rykiel shoes. They both were lost on my closet and I rescued them for this evening!

I've noticed I'm very pale, but I do not like the sun ... so now begins my fight against the summer sun!

Black Panther - Crystal Castles

Some cute things happened last weekend. First of all, I was the winner of a contest at Iris loves fashion, and what I prize I got! A fabulous dress from Titis Clothing, a lovely and gorgeous brand from Murcia... Murcia! It seems that I've always a connection with those places (music festivals, manga conventions or my beloved friend Sergio!).

So today I receive my new beautiful dress...

... And is greater than what I was expecting! So sweet, and perfect for summer days... and the goat pattern is simply adorable! I just cannot wait for using it; this weekend I'll try to do a photo session...

Thanks, thanks, THANKS!

Secondly, we had a Lovely Flea Market last Sunday at Laia's place. It was so funny and we had a lovely time with friends!

Alex made some gorgeous cake and cupcakes but in the end I didn't eat any of them :(... next time!

You can see more pictures at Laia Chic's blog and at Rocio's.

Today I spent my evening with Ester chatting at Pudding. They're doing a special camp night at the cafe, and I feel so sorry that I can't stay there tomorrow night... hopefully, they'll do another one soon!

I found today this lovely dress at Primark, with little cats printed on it; and there is a white version with black little dogs... so lovely! I think I'll buy it too, is really adorable and perfect for summer days.

The Lovecats - The Cure

When my mother was around here she asked me if I really need something, and I told her that yes, I needed a new pair of glasses. So she asked me to pick a pair of glasses... and that's what I did!

I totally fell in love with this pair of Miss Sixty glasses, as I was looking for something a little bit retro style. I'm always wearing my contact lenses, and I know that's not good enough for my eyes sometimes... but now with this cute pair, I feel like I can go everywhere!

I'm a cat now! Meow!
